I am still processing my photos and ephemera from our ten days in Iceland during the solstice.
Vikings and their wonderful festival in Rekyavik.
Arches of wood and stone, Cairns along the highway marking the path for a thousand years.
Sun and sun and sun with no moon or stars.
Cameras and driving and ponies and sheep and more sheep and even more sheep.
Waterfalls, rocks, geysers, rainbows, ocean, cliffs.
Hot springs.
I just truly loved this country and hope one day to go back.
"Once you have traveled, the voyage never ends, but is played out over and over again in the quietest chambers, that the mind can never break off from the journey." --Pat Conroy
