just DO it
Once a month I meet with other journalers at a group at my UU congregation - I sometimes show a technique, but mostly we just all bring piles of cool collagey papers and juicy markers and inks, and enjoy collaging together in our journals. Sometimes a new convert is opened up to this fun process and they are amazed at the way art journaling is possible for anyone, not just "seasoned" artists. At the end of the meeting, we share some pages and ideas with each other.
It is a very relaxing and inspiring time - and I always seem to do my favorite pages at this group.

I've been thinking of doing this with MY UUs, too! Love your pics. I've been working, privately on a healing art journal. It's doing it's job, very nicely, but I often think about how much more fun it would be to share the experience with friends! Thanks for the inspiration. Great Blog.
